About this event
Diversity in Law - The Honest Conversation Thursday 19th of November 2026 · 6:00pm Sydney CBD The legal profession has made progress on diversity. But progress and arrival are not the same thing. There are still gaps, in representation, in culture, in who gets the opportunities and who gets overlooked. And the people who feel those gaps most acutely are often the least heard in the conversations about how to close them. This panel changes that. Our first Diversity in Law Panel Discussion brings together lawyers from diverse backgrounds for an honest, open conversation about what it actually looks like to build a career in a profession that wasn't always designed with you in mind. What has changed. What hasn't. And what the profession needs to do differently. This is not a corporate DEI presentation. It is a real conversation, with people who have lived the experience and are willing to speak candidly about it. This session will explore: Where the profession has made genuine progress and where the gaps remain The day to day reality of practising law as someone from an underrepresented background What firms and organisations are getting right, and what still needs to change How to build community, find allies and navigate a profession that is still evolving Places are limited to 40.
