About this event

Women in Law Circle — Stay or Go Wednesday 17 June 2026 · 6:00pm LawUno Studio · Suite 36, Level 7, 88 Pitt Street Sydney Why are women still leaving the legal profession, and what does it actually take to stay? This is not a polished panel discussion. It is an honest, unfiltered conversation with women who have navigated the profession and are willing to speak truthfully about what that has looked like, the good, the hard and everything in between. Meet your panelists: Noora Agha Principal Lawyer, AE Lawyers Noora is a solicitor, business owner and advocate who has built a successful legal career across private practice, government and community legal services. Admitted to the Supreme Court of New South Wales and the High Court of Australia, she is passionate about making the law accessible and helping clients navigate complex legal challenges with confidence. As a woman leading her own legal practice, Noora brings firsthand insight into what it actually takes to build a career and a business in a traditionally male-dominated industry. Her journey through the profession is one of leadership, entrepreneurship and resilience, and she is deeply committed to creating pathways for the next generation of women in law to succeed. Rebecca Dominguez Head of Pro Bono, Colin Biggers & Paisley With more than 20 years of experience across the legal profession, Rebecca is a recognised leader in pro bono practice, access to justice and legal education. Before joining Colin Biggers & Paisley, she served as Director of Clinical Legal Education at Western Sydney University, led the Justice Clinic, and held senior pro bono roles at Baker McKenzie and the Aboriginal Legal Service. Her career is a testament to what it looks like to build a legal career with purpose. This event is for women at every stage of their legal career. Whether you are just starting out, navigating the middle years, or well into your career and still asking the questions the profession has not yet answered, this conversation is for you. Lisa-Marie McKechine Partner at Bartier Perry Lawyers Lisa-Marie is a Partner in the Corporate and Commercial Group at Bartier Perry, bringing over 28 years of experience advising superannuation funds, life insurers and corporates across financial services, prudential regulation and data privacy. She has advised on some of Australia's most significant financial services matters including the merger of Sunsuper and QSuper to form the $200 billion Australian Retirement Trust. As a woman who has built a career at the highest level of the profession while navigating the realities of motherhood and leadership, Lisa-Marie brings a perspective that is both professionally exceptional and deeply human. Her story is one of resilience, sacrifice and the honest truth about what it takes to stay in the profession and succeed on your own terms. Spots are limited. Register now at lawuno.com
