Brian Lee Appointed to Board of Steno as Company Expands Litigation Support Services

Steno, a leader in court reporting and AI driven litigation support, has announced the appointment of Brian Lee to its Board of Directors. Lee, who co founded LegalZoom in 2000, is recognised for his significant contributions to the legal technology sector.
Lee's career began at LegalZoom, where he played a pivotal role in the company's early growth, helping to increase revenue beyond £300 million and laying the groundwork for its public offering on NASDAQ with a market capitalisation of £7 billion.
After departing from his full time position at LegalZoom, Lee became a serial entrepreneur, co founding and holding senior roles in various companies, including ShoeDazzle, The Honest Company, BAM Ventures, Art of Sport, and Arena Club, often collaborating with high profile individuals.
Having previously practised as a lawyer at Skadden, Lee's return to the legal sector comes on the heels of Steno's successful £49 million Series C funding round earlier this year.
In his statement regarding the appointment, Lee emphasised the importance of client experience in litigation support, stating that software alone cannot replace the reliability and trust that attorneys require when preparing for trial. He expressed enthusiasm for joining Steno's board and contributing to the growth of its service first model across the legal industry.
Prabhdeep Singh, Chief Executive Officer of Steno, highlighted the company's unique hybrid model, which combines high quality service with AI and legal technology specifically designed for litigators. Singh acknowledged Lee's expertise in building service oriented companies in the legal space as a vital asset for Steno's continued expansion.
This strategic appointment marks a significant development for Steno as it seeks to enhance its position as a leading litigation support partner, leveraging Lee's extensive experience in the legal technology sector.
