Harvey Secures 550 Million USD Funding at 15.5 Billion USD Valuation and Acquires Guardrails AI

Harvey has successfully completed a funding round, raising 550 million USD at a valuation of 15.5 billion USD. This round was co led by Diffusion and Lightspeed Venture Partners.
In addition to the funding, Harvey has acquired Guardrails AI, a San Francisco based platform that focuses on AI security for agents. Guardrails is recognised for its pioneering work in AI reliability and simulation infrastructure, having developed the first open source AI guardrails designed to identify deviations in agent behaviour and manage associated risks in real time.
The co founders of Guardrails, Shreya Rajpal and Zayd Simjee, along with their team, will integrate into Harvey’s product and engineering organisation. This acquisition marks Harvey’s fourth in 2026, highlighting the company’s aggressive expansion strategy.
This funding round comes on the heels of Harvey’s introduction of its first post trained open weight model and the launch of Harvey LAB, the Legal Agent Benchmark. These developments aim to enhance Harvey’s capabilities in assisting law firms, in house legal teams, and professional services firms in building and scaling their intelligence.
Notable existing investors such as Sequoia, Kleiner Perkins, a16z, Coatue, Conviction, Elad Gil, Evantic, GIC, Goldman Sachs Alternatives, Verified Capital, and WNDR participated in this funding round. New investors included Diffusion, Lightspeed, Sapphire Ventures, and Whale Rock.
Harvey’s co founders, Winston Weinberg and Gabe Pereyra, expressed their vision for the company, stating that the potential for businesses to enhance their competitive edge through AI is unprecedented. They aim for Harvey to become the preferred partner for legal teams navigating this transformative phase in AI.
Currently, 80 per cent of Am Law 100 law firms utilise Harvey, alongside several leading in house legal teams, including five of the Fortune 10 companies. This widespread adoption underscores the growing reliance on AI solutions within the legal sector.
