Ivo Launches Collaborate Contract Lifecycle Platform for In House Teams
Ivo has introduced Collaborate, an orchestration platform designed to manage the entire contract lifecycle. This platform addresses processes from contract intake through to approval, negotiation, and signature.
The company, based in New Zealand and California, emphasised that Collaborate is built with the negotiation process as its core data layer, rather than simply adding artificial intelligence to existing systems.
According to Ivo, Collaborate enables legal teams to transcend individual productivity metrics, allowing them to manage the overall risk of the organisation. The platform transforms each negotiation into valuable insights that the business retains.
Collaborate specifically targets the pre signature phase of negotiations, offering four key capabilities. The platform aims to streamline the contracting process, which is often fragmented across various teams and tools.
Traditionally, the negotiation stage has lacked a dedicated system, but Ivo asserts that this is changing due to two main factors. Firstly, advancements in artificial intelligence now allow for the analysis of incoming agreements, enabling the entire contract lifecycle to be managed in a single location. Secondly, many sophisticated clients are already adapting to this integrated approach.
Collaborate distinguishes itself from other market offerings by orchestrating the entire contracting lifecycle within a single system tailored for in house legal teams. It processes incoming agreements based on defined risks, facilitates negotiations, and learns from each interaction. Low risk agreements can proceed directly to signature, while those requiring human oversight are directed to the appropriate personnel.
This approach differs significantly from many existing tools that treat contracting as a review and triage process, often built primarily for law firms. Collaborate is designed specifically for in house teams, with the negotiation process serving as the foundational data layer.
Security and trust are paramount in the development of Collaborate. The platform operates on the same enterprise level foundation as the rest of Ivo’s offerings, boasting SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001 certifications. Data protection measures include encryption at rest using AES 256 and in transit with TLS 1.2+. Ivo has also engaged an external auditor to pursue ISO 42001 certification for its AI management system, anticipated by the fourth quarter of 2026.
Collaborate is specifically tailored for in house teams and the various functions involved in deal making, including sales, procurement, finance, and counterparties. It is designed to facilitate the business's deal making processes rather than focusing on the firm client relationship.
